Newton Falls, OH – July 2025 – The Newton Falls Exempted Village School District is proud to announce the appointment of Melissa Malone as the new Principal for grades 6–12 at Newton Falls High School, following official Board of Education approval.
Dr. Andreas Johansson, Superintendent of Newton Falls Schools, shared his enthusiasm for the hire:
“Melissa Malone is an impressive and highly skilled leader. Her calm, polished presence, along with deep expertise in curriculum, special education, and school operations, makes her an exceptional fit for our district. We’re excited about the future under her leadership.”
Ms. Malone brings over twelve years of administrative experience, including service as a middle school principal, Assistant Curriculum Principal in a large district, and, most recently, Elementary Principal and Director of Special Services.
Her experience across diverse school environments has given her a broad and practical understanding of student needs, instructional leadership, and day-to-day building management.
“I’m thrilled to join the Newton Falls community,” said Malone. “This district has a strong foundation and a clear commitment to student success. I look forward to working with the staff, students, families, and community to continue that momentum.”
Ms. Malone will officially begin her role ahead of the 2025–2026 school year, in mid-July.
