Newton Falls Schools Earns 3.5-Star Rating on Ohio Report Card

Newton Falls, OH – September 2025 – Newton Falls Exempted Village Schools is proud to announce that our district has earned a 3.5-star rating on the 2025 Ohio School Report Card, marking continued progress over the past three years.

This recognition reflects steady improvement, with the district rising from 2 stars in 2023, to 3 stars in 2024, and now 3.5 stars in 2025.

Ohio School Report Cards are required by law to provide parents, caregivers, community members, educators, and policymakers with transparent information about school and district performance.

The report card highlights areas of success while identifying opportunities for growth, driving important local conversations about continuous improvement. The report cards set high expectations for the education community while also measuring progress toward positive outcomes for all Ohio students.

While the report card is an important measure, it is only one part of Ohio’s education story. To gain a full picture of the student experience, it is essential to visit schools, talk with educators, parents, and students, and review district programs and initiatives.

At Newton Falls, we know that many great things are happening every day in our classrooms, on our fields, and across our community that extend beyond what any single report can capture.

“This upward trend reflects the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and families,” said Dr. Andreas Johansson, Superintendent. “We are proud of the progress we’ve made, and we remain committed to continuous improvement, ensuring that Newton Falls students are supported and prepared for future success.”

Newton Falls Schools thanks our entire community for its ongoing partnership and support as we continue striving for excellence.
