Northeast Ohio – The Executive Committee of the Northeast Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NEOIAAA) has selected Chad Rankin to receive the 2026 NEOIAAA Tim Flannery Horizon Award.
Each year, the NEOIAAA honors athletic administrators and other professionals who have contributed outstanding service to interscholastic athletics across Northeast Ohio.
Award recipients are nominated by association members and selected by the NEOIAAA awards committee, which is made up of executive committee members.
The Tim Flannery Horizon Award is presented to an active athletic administrator who demonstrates professionalism and involvement in the profession, and who makes a difference in their school district and/or league.
Chad Rankin was selected in recognition of those qualities and his positive impact on interscholastic athletics.
Recognition will take place at the NEOIAAA Annual Awards Banquet on Monday, April 20, 2026.
“Mr. Rankin’s steady leadership, professionalism, and student-first approach have made a real difference for our district,” said Dr. Andreas Johansson, Superintendent. “We are proud of his contributions and the positive direction of our athletic programs. We look forward to long-term stability and sustained success in all areas of athletics for years to come.”
“I’m grateful for the recognition and for the opportunity to serve student-athletes, coaches, and our school community,” Rankin said. “This work is always a team effort, and I appreciate everyone who supports our programs.”
